Rockville's new Mayor Mark Husnik was elected in November 2024

Hello, my name is Mark Husnik. Twenty-three years ago, I met the love of my life, Barb Massmann, a proud farmer’s daughter, and became a resident of Stearns County. We married 22 years ago, and it has always been our dream to live in the country. Three years ago, we made that dream a reality when we moved to Rockville to be closer to family and friends.
I graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1988 and continued my education at Inver Hills
Community College, earning an Associate in Applied Science degree in Aviation. Early in my career, I worked in the construction trades, with a special focus on water wells—an industry that continues to shape my professional path. For the past 25 years, I’ve built a career in wholesale distribution, specializing in pipes, valves, fittings, water wells, onsite wastewater systems, and water treatment. Today, I serve as a regional manager for Headwater Wholesale, covering western Wisconsin, Minnesota, and eastern North and South Dakota. I oversee three locations and manage 20 employees. I’m proud to have successfully
launched two start-up warehouses for my company expanding their market presence.
Additionally, I’ve dedicated 10 years to serving on the (NGWA) National Groundwater Association board, where I contributed to advancing groundwater solutions.
What can Rockville expect?
As a proud member of Stearns County, I am committed to helping Rockville thrive by fostering a vibrant business community and providing strong support for our fire department. Rockville is at a unique crossroads, and by having committees that involve citizens, we can make informed decisions that truly reflect our community’s needs.
It’s time to move away from having the same few individuals make all the decisions. I believe every citizen deserves a voice in shaping our future. I look forward to serving this amazing community well over the next 4 years.
